Three tickets, one theme
Open Desk hours often start with “I only risked 0.5% three times.” The tickets were a gold future, a related equity, and a dollar pair that was expressing the same dollar-weakness story. The account was not holding three half-risks. It was holding one and a half times the intended theme.
We keep a theme column in the journal: a short label such as “USD soft” or “SET bank strength.” Before a new order, you read the open column. If the label already exists, the new ticket must either replace size or wait. Adding is a decision, not a default.
This is unglamorous work. It does not improve win rate. It prevents a single narrative from emptying the week while the chart still “looks diversified.”
